The Pokédex
Teaching Assignment for Intro CS with Java As a teacher, it is always a challenge to try and make assignments that are both educational and "fun". This is one of my favorite projects that I have made for my CS Fundamentals students. Using CSV data of the original 151 Pokémon, sort them by a chosen stat, search for them by ID number, and list their evolutions using recursion. My students had a blast with this one, one even added speech synthesis to read out the 'dex entries like in the anime! Pokédex Assignment PDF Sample Executable |
